Ido Sharon
Ido Sharon is a retired major of the IDF Armored Corps and is an electrical and computer engineer. For most of his life, he managed technological projects as VP of R&D for companies in the US and Israel, mostly in the field of communication technologies. As the CTO of Bezeq, the Israeli ILEC, he spearheaded the incorporation of wideband communication into the home. Sharon’s gamble on xDSL with DMT technologies from a small unknown startup made Israel one of the first three countries in the world to implement wideband systems. The swift adoption of wideband is considered a major contributing factor to Israel’s booming high-tech industry.
Ido is married to the girl he met when he was 17 and has two daughters. Today, he occupies his time by mentoring startup companies with technological problem-solving.
