Shay Porat is a business strategist, crisis management consultant, and published author.

For three decades, he has served as a strategic advisor and crisis manager for companies, NGOs, public figures, and governments based in America, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Among other roles, he has supported environmental advocacy campaigns, advised legal efforts to demand compensation for terror victims by terror organizations and Iran, worked with the team responsible for tracking and bringing to justice the Nazi criminal Bernard Frank, consulted Ethiopia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and worked with Dr. Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the United States and author of three international bestsellers.

During the summer of 2020, Porat’s son was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor and passed away only fifteen months later. His novel, The Hidden House in Tenerife, is an alternative autobiographical novel inspired by the experience.

Porat is also a social-impact entrepreneur, having co-founded several startups in the field.

In his spare time, he enjoys painting (oil and acrylic) and writing poetry.
