פרופ’ אבי מויאל
Professor Avi Moyal (born 1956) is an esteemed Israeli academic, fitness expert, and leadership consultant, with over four decades of military service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). A graduate of Wingate College (B.Ed, 1996), Loughborough University (M.A., Physical Education, 2002), and the Polytechnic University in England (Ph.D., Physical Education, 2006), Professor Moyal is recognized for his groundbreaking work in promoting healthy lifestyles and physical fitness.
Throughout his distinguished career, he made unique contributions to the fitness and combat training of elite IDF units, including Sayeret Matkal and Shaldag. As head of the IDF’s combat fitness department, Professor Moyal was instrumental in shaping the fitness regimens for Israel’s top soldiers, blending high-performance military training with an emphasis on overall health and wellness. His innovative programs have influenced not only the elite forces but have also promoted a nationwide culture of fitness within the entire IDF and across Israel.
Currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Sports Internship at Ono Academic College, he continues to share his expertise in sports and healthy living with students across multiple campuses. Professor Moyal’s dedication to service was recognized in 2004 when he had the honor of lighting a torch at Israel’s Independence Day ceremony
