יעל טריידל
Yael Treidel was born in a small village by the Sea of Galilee to a farmer and a teacher. The sudden death of her oldest brother, when she was twelve, caused her to look into the big questions of life at a very young age, and sent her onto a journey that still continues.
Yael is connected to nature, which is why her bachelor’s degree was in Biology, but is also an activist at her core, which is why her master’s was in Gender Studies. She's been involved in spiritual, social and political activism for decades, has worked in various occupations and lived in various countries. Over the past ten years Yael has worked as a full-time translator.
When the Water Rises is her first novel.
