Dr. Amos Raviv, born in 1954, began his professional career as manager of a few business firms and corporations. Dr. Raviv also managed a family business for advertising and signage that for 15 years managed an array of projects.

Dr. Raviv was the general manager of the port of Jaffa for three years and led the process of privatization of the port. As a result of his extensive knowledge about marinas, Dr. Raviv was elected secretary of The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and held that position for five years. In 2006 Amos Raviv received his doctorate with a dissertation presentation titled "Development of a strategic model to increase the profitability of marinas worldwide."

The vast experience accumulated by Dr. Raviv as the secretary of ICOMIA, led to positions on the boards of several private and public companies. At the Shipping and Ports Authority (S&PA), Dr. Raviv served as Acting Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Development Committee. He is the Israeli champion in sailing and holds a 500 GT captain license.
