Drora Schwartz was born in Palestine in 1947, a year before Israel's independence. She is an educator who holds a BA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is a proud mother of four boys, and grandmother of nine.

Her first children’s book was published in 2022, and her first adult novel, One Year of Us, was published in 2025.
