Margalit Tal-Gan is an Israeli, born to holocaust survivors, a fact which has affected her personality and priorities. She has developed a cynical, somewhat sardonic often controversial viewpoint on life, mainly on human relationships and behavior. This is noticeable in her debut novel “Survive and Surpass”, seemingly a light enjoyable novel, ideal for a transatlantic flight, yet skillfully inlaid with subtle insinuations on human values, causing us to reflect on the way we handle difficulties and face problems.

Apart from writing, Margalit makes the best desserts ever, and promises to include,in her next novel, a couple of exquisite recipes.
