Limor Brenner
Limor Golani-Brenner was born on Kibbutz Beit Zera in the Jordan Valley in Israel. She studied Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University and has worked since 1995 in information systems. Her love for travel and writing is a significant part of her life. The inspiration for her debut novel, The Spanish Baker’s Daughter, came from hiking the Christian pilgrimage route from Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. While writing the book, Limor conducted extensive research on the “Golden Age” of Spanish Jewry during the Middle Ages. She also launched a lecture series about her journey, the book’s writing process, the Golden Age period, and the expulsion of Spanish Jews.
