Jonathan Doron
Jonathan Doron is a mentor, educator and family consultant with over two decades of experience in the field of education. He is the former principal of the Democratic High School in Tel Aviv and was the director of an educational institution for young children with behavioral difficulties. He also established a program for adolescents with emotional difficulties, called Never Never Land, as well as the Jonathan Doron Academy of Education that offers training for family counselors. He currently advises educational teams in conventional and alternative schools and in informal educational institutions.
Since writing his best-selling autobiography, Diary of a Lost Boy, he has published a second book for adults, titled To the Magical Forest of Childhood; a fantasy and adventure book for children, titled The Magical Ones; and a book on adolescence, titled Children of the Moon.
Jonathan leads international workshops and is a highly sought-after speaker. He is the only Israeli to have given two TED Talks within the space of six months and recently served as the speakers’ official mentor in a TEDx event dedicated to social entrepreneurship and innovation in the field of education. Jonathan lives in Tel Aviv with his wife Shiran, his two daughters, Michelle and Emeli, and his youngest son, Lenny.
