Haya Ravinsky

Haya Ravinsky Mandelbaum was born two years after the end of World War II. Her parents were Holocaust survivors, who, like all survivors of that time, didn’t speak of the horrors they endured. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Haya found the letters her mother received from her fiancé, Ernst Cosmann, from his time in German concentration camps. She decided to dive into their contents and their history, culminating in her book The Last Letter Before Auschwitz.
