Ashfield lives in the Middle East but considers herself a citizen of the world, primarily through her writing, where she tackles sensitive and challenging global issues such as LGBT rights, family relationships, corruption in politics, and antisemitism. Not All That Glitters is her debut novel, and she is currently working diligently on her next, soon-to-be-published book.
