Dr. Maya Wizel
Dr. Maya Wizel is a distinguished educator who has dedicated her career to challenging the traditional pedagogic paradigm and to create new, innovative approaches to education that are more relevant, effective, and engaging for both educators and students.
She called this a, “Hacking education”, which was the focus of her doctoral research at Lesley University in Boston.
For over 20 years, Maya has applied her professional background and experience in both formal and non-formal education to “hack” education in Israel and around the world. She divides her time between research, teaching, consulting, giving talks and leading workshops.
Maya works with everyone passionate about education, learning, and social impact—including schools, higher education and teacher education programs, municipalities, and ed-tech startups, to name a few—creating and applying effective and innovative teaching models and educational settings. Among other things, she has been a faculty at Middlebury College, VT, and serves as a board member for non-formal education NGOs and Edtech start-ups.
