Dan Redler is an author, playwright, and a veteran of the theater industry. In addition to writing four successful fiction novels, he authored three books on theater stage lighting. He studied theater at Tel Aviv University, taught stage lighting, and curated at the Guangzhou Museum for stage lighting theater. His novel The Eighth Ball was adapted into a play and a film titled The Dinner.

The Foreign Wife is his fourth novel.
