Dr. Boris J. Kurland
Boris Kurland was born in West Ukraine and immigrated to Israel in 1974. In 1999 he received his Ph.D. in Clinical Microbiology from the Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio, after which he worked for the Israeli public health system for many years.
As a journalist, Kurland published a weekly column in a Russian Israeli newspaper, about current events in the local area.
He also published several books in Russian, including Wolfs and Butterflies, The Chippendale, The Bike, Monster (Ave Maria), Woman number 13, and Good Stuff. His short stories have been published in journals and almanacs in different countries. Winner of several literary contests in Germany and Russia.
