Barak Chacoty was born and raised in Jerusalem and spent his mandatory military service in the “Duvdevan” special operations unit as a soldier and a commanding officer. Following his military service, he graduated summa cum laude in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, majoring in Arabic and Farsi. He is married and a father of five.

Moment to Kill is Chacoty’s first novel, which became a national bestseller two weeks after its debut.
