Born in Luxembourg, Avital Ganet Keshet comes from an artistic family. She began her literary career as a junior reporter at the age of sixteen and her acting career when she starred in a movie at eighteen. Keshet studied acting and directing, but her life took a turn when, after the birth of her third child, she and her husband became exposed to the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, fell in love, and embraced an Orthodox lifestyle.

In their new community, Avital became a trailblazer for women, founding a women’s choir and allowing ultra-Orthodox women to express themselves as they never could have before.

Her novel, Unrepentant, is based on the story of her own life and her journey to faith. She is currently working on a screenplay.
