Aharon Aspis was born in Tel Aviv and graduated from Tel Aviv University in Mathematics and Physics. Aspis is the author of 20 books on mathematics that started a revolution in how to teach mathematics in Israel. His books offered the possibility also for independent learning and in this way the study of mathematics became accessible to many students and a wide range of populations. Aharon Aspis has taught for many years at high schools and junior high schools and his vast experience was of tremendous assistance to him when he wrote his text books on mathematics.
