Dr. Reda Mansour
Reda Mansour is the former Israeli Ambassador to Brazil, Panama, and Ecuador, as well as Deputy Ambassador in Portugal, Consul General in Atlanta, and Consul in San Francisco. At 35, he was the youngest ambassador in Israel’s history and the country’s first Arab and Druze career diplomat.
Reda Mansour holds a Ph.D. in Middle East Studies from Haifa University. He graduated from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Dr. Mansour was a visiting professor at Haifa University and Emory University in Atlanta and teaches at Reichman University.
Dr. Mansour received international recognition for his leadership and innovative work, including the International Heroes Award for Excellence, the Brazilian “Juscelino Kubitschek” Medal of Merit, and the Tree of Life Award. He was named one of the “100 Most Influential Atlantans” alongside many prominent figures, such as US President Jimmy Carter.
The Ambassador is a longtime activist in promoting peace, dialogue, and integration of minorities. In recognition of his efforts, he was inducted into the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Sponsors at Atlanta’s prestigious Morehouse College. Dr. Mansour was the CEO and co-founder of the Swedish NGO Star for Life Jerusalem, which works to develop the Palestinian community in east Jerusalem.
In addition to his diplomatic career, Dr. Mansour is fluent in five languages and an accomplished author. He has published four poetry collections, as well as several short stories.
