Doron Meiri

Doron Meiri

For twelve years, Doron Meiri covered the Israel Police and Ministry of Internal Security for the three major newspapers in Israel.

Meiri reported on crime syndicates, murders, robberies, acts of terrorism, and white-collar crimes. While covering the National Prison Service, he interviewed dozens of criminals, murderers, and even terrorists. He covered everything from the National Headquarters of the Israel Police, the Ministry of Internal Security, the Internal Police Investigations Department, the Border Patrol, and the National Counter Terror Unit. After twelve years on the beat, Meiri served as the news desk editor at one of Israel’s largest newspapers.

Meiri’s books are based on his experience and intimate knowledge of the criminal justice system and his personal experience as an operator in an IDF intelligence unit, whose fieldwork included many operations in Lebanon.

Before his career in journalism, Meiri worked in agriculture on a kibbutz and was a teacher, a seaman in the merchant navy, a krav-maga instructor, and more.

Meiri was born in Israel, lives in Tel Aviv, and has three daughters.
