Dr. Miri Merin Freilich, PhD, is a historian of the Jewish community in Poland. She received her academic degrees from Columbia University in New York and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She was a researcher at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center and taught at various universities and colleges worldwide.

Dr. Freilich initiated several international Holocaust research projects and received both praise and awards for her work.

Today she focuses mainly on her prose writing.
